The next draft of the new rules are in OSCAR. The Laurel team and 
Palimpsest are asking for heralds of all levels to review it and 
comment. If you aren't able to comment on OSCAR, please let me know and 
I will get the e-mail address you can send comments to.

She really means it! One of the goals of this rewrite is to make the 
rules easier to understand. That can't happen if only the senior 
heralds, who presumably understand this stuff, are the only ones who 
comment.

Greetings!

 

The deadline passed on May 31st for applications and I am pleased to
announce that our new Silver Sparkes Pursuivant is HL Shareef Musiqi
al'rashid beit al'theaib <deep breath> jawas aswad dude al'zimmurrud (I hope
I got that right).   He is now officially the Administrative Deputy to our
Red Flame Herald and the first point of contact in the submission process.
He comes into the position highly recommended and with exceptional Admin
abilities.  This means we will soon have a new address to send submissions
to.  Any submissions sent in to the old address will be taken care of so not
to worry if anyone has sent them in already or is in the process of sending
them.  The Heralds site will be updated with the new address this weekend.
In case anyone still doesn't know, our website is located here

With Alicia Red Flame, Giera <Heraldic Title Pending>, and Shareef Silver
Sparkes, our Submissions team is complete!  HUZZAH to Shareef and welcome

	Symposium 2012

Greetings!

 

I know we're early but we're excited to proclaim that the date reservations
have been made for the next Tir Righ Heraldic & Scribal Symposium!  The
dates are May 25th - 27th 2012.  We're hoping the extended lead time will
give a greater number of Branches the opportunity to put a bid together.
The winning autocrat would be working directly with Lady Alivia Spencer, our
Education Deputy, who would be the co-autocrat with regards to arranging
classes, instructors, activities, etc.  The hosting Branch would be in
charge of arranging the site and other amenities that go with hosting an
event (arranging gate volunteers, helping with advertising, etc).

 

If anyone is interested in more info, please feel free to contact me.  Any
bids should be sent to myself and the Education Deputy.  I will be posting
more calls for bids as the months progress till the deadline.  The deadline
for bids is December 31st, 2011.

We are in great need of volunteers for voice heralds for the August 26-28
weekend.  No experience necessary, we'll train on site.  If you could lend
us an hour or so of your time it will make the job much easier and everyone
will get to go home with their voices intact.  Please contact me off list if
