Armoured Combat:
The same style that we have become accustomed to at this event: A bear pit with a 5 minute penalty for Knights, Royal Peers, and the current Champion

Target Archery:
1. (duck hunt ) 7-9 targets spread out in V formation, Object is to hit as many as you can, if you miss or hit one farther near the front the flock scatters and the round is over. each Archer get 6 shots to score, each target is worth 1 point.

2. ( team balloon shot )( all depends on how many archers we have) 1-2 targets set up with 2+ balloons on each, using 2 different colors of balloons each team is to try an shoot for the other teams color balloon. Each balloon popped removes one archer from the other team, when all balloons of one color are popped then the round is over. Each archer shoots only 1 arrow each.

3. Potentially one more to come

Arts and Sciences:
“Iron Artisan”
This multi-round, team, for fun competition will be held over Saturday and Sunday.

The format of the competition will be several rounds in which teams will receive mandatory ingredients and be given a time limit to produce an entry based on the rounds theme.

Teams may have a maximum of four artisans contributing, each artisan may only participate on one team.  Teams are strongly encouraged to contact me ahead of time to register as competitors.  Teams formed on site are strongly encouraged, but numbers will be limited by the quantity of mandatory ingredients available.

Materials other than the provided mandatory ingredients can be provided by any artisan on a team or can be bartered, borrowed, or otherwise obtained from other gentles in the Shire. Picking flowers or other plants on the site is strongly discouraged.

As this competition is meant to be an on-site activity and based on creativity, written documentation is not required.  Any verbal commentary on style, theme, or medieval inspiration is welcome.  This commentary will only receive minor points toward the competition, and entertainment counts.

Rounds, themes, and mandatory ingredients will be revealed on site.

Teams are offered the following hint for round one - your mandatory ingredient will be edible.
