I suggested a Wednesday.
Elspeth said to me that this Wednesday would not work for her.
I am open to any Wednesday; I prefer ASAP so we have time to make

My lords and ladies,

Pray forgive me for my absence these past weeks.  I have been dealing
with a back in spasm and only recently got some lovely meds.

We need to have our March Skype meeting and I see that council has
arranged a time and date, this Wednesday the 14th at the usual time in
the evening.

Our most important piece of business is electing your new seneschal.
If you have any interest in how your shire is run please make an
effort to get to your local hub meeting.

For those in West Hartwood, Taleah will let me know tonite if she can
host the hub.  If not it will be in my craft room.  I will post the
information as soon as I know her plans.

Many of my contacts didn't survive the transition.  Can someone please
forward this to rocks in order to reach all of our members.

Thank you so much, Kjartan, for posting the schedule.  As our power has been 
out for much of the last couple of days, I had been unable to send the 
upgrade.  I do apologize for that.

Classes since added are:
Beginners Leather Tooling - Constance de Montbard - Saturday 4pm to 6pm.
Appliqu? In Period - Constance de Montbard - Sunday 9am to 11am.

Other than adding these two classes, the schedule is unlikely to change at 
this point, and will be up on a proper website for perusal and registration 
very soon.

This listing will not be published publicly on a website, but it will be published in hardcopy and, depending on legalities I will have to look into before publication, it may be sent electronically via personal email. I have a one-bedroom suite available in my home as of May 1. It is pet
friendly and priced below market, at $450 per month, plus share utilities.
(Assuming responsible use of utilities, utility cost is about $100 a month -
but I don't make it a flat rate because some people then become very
wasteful.)

Sorry about the website links; the Hartwood server has been having  
issues, and email links -should- be working by now.

Our group is a branch of the SCA (www.sca.org), recreating some of the  
better aspects of the Middle Ages and early Renaissance. We hold  
events that may include tournament combat, arts and sciences  
activities, and feasts. We also meet for fighting practices and for  
arts/sciences activities.

some more information. We also have a facebook page.

Our branch president (seneschal) is John Macandrew  
(lionsgater at yahoo.com), in the Miracle Beach area; he also holds  
Sunday archery practices. Dori lives in the Willow Point area.

I have returned from Kelowna and I managed to locate the missing computer 
power cord (it seems my car has a hiding spot between the back seat and 
storage compartment) that made going online a tad difficult.  Anyway, I had 
a tonne of stuff to do today and tomorrow is pretty booked up with work and 
volunteer stuff but I hope to catch up on my huge backlog of email etc.

First, I would like to thank Lady Cunegonda for getting a wonderful 
registration and information website up, despite huge obstacles.  Our area 
was hit hard by a storm, so power outages have been a major stumbling block.

I woke up this morning to find several students already sending in their 
registrations!  A couple of classes are already half full, and two are 
almost to capacity.  Please get your registration forms filled out and sent 
as soon as possible, to give yourself the best chances at getting the 
classes you want.

Beyond the Peel and the Blue Moon Winery are holding a medieval  
Solstice Feast on Wednesday June 20th (in Courtenay, more or less).  
They (well, it started with Marla) asked if we would provide 30 mins  
to 1 hour of participatory dance, perhaps with live music. I said I'd  
send them an email on Friday.

Being dropped into my lap so quickly, I came up with -maybe- half an  
hour of at least me leading some simple dances with music on CD.

With some conversation on Wednesday night, there's the potential for  
up to an hour of a possible presentation dance plus teaching and  
leading some simple dances, all to live music (beginning with  
Cecille... Aleyn?... Sgain?... And/or...?).

I have 4 dancers, so far; if another 2 or 4 come forward, that would  
be splendid! We have April and May to learn/practice; please let me  
know your availability schedule.

Musicians, please get in touch with both Cecille (canzonet3 at gmail.com) and me.

On Friday, I plan to tell the organizer that we will have, at minimum,  
one presentation dance and 3 easy-to-follow dances for the attendees  
(possibly with live music: Cecille and...?).

The presentation dance is to be decided (I'm leaning towards  
Red-House), and the participation dances something like: double  
bransle, Maltese bransle, tangle bransle, and La Farandole.

I am open to suggestions/alterations. But soon!

The Shire -will- receive an honorarium for this service.

So... Dancers? Musicians? Please talk...

A lady contacted me, having a problem with registration.  If you have 
registered for TUTR, but have not received a confirmation email from me 
saying, "You are now registered for the following classes:" please contact 
me immediately, so we get you properly registered.
