[Hartwood] Officers position open

Good afternoon everyone, 
 
We have an important officers position still open. The best news about the position is that we have many great resources to assist both here in the Shire and at the Principality level so all you really need is an interest to help. 
 
Come give it a try.
 
Here is a brief job description:
 
The branch herald is responsible for promoting heraldry, helping branch members find suitable names and devices, if needed, and providing voice heraldry at shire events, as well as helping the seneschal or event steward run an audience.

You don’t have to be able to do all of these things, just make sure that you have someone who can.  For instance, I have voice deputies to do field and town crier, though I usually do the audiences myself.  But, if your primary talent is voice, you can have a book deputy.  Or call me!
 
Can you please tell me about the serving thread on a bowstring?  I’ve read that it needs two different types, and that you need a type of tool to do it, rather than by hand.
