Greetings, last weekend the newest edition of the Book of Target was signed. Below is the information that the Kingdom Royal Archer has posted. In addition I've included the information that Baron James included in his post to the Rocks.

Hopefully the weather will allow us to start outdoor archery soon.

In addition to the words below, two other changes were reported on lists a few days ago. These two changes are from the Marshal meeting notes at July Coronation.

From July Coronation
Archery & Thrown Weapons  --  a clarification to the rules confirming that children can come to the range with a “responsible adult” designated by their parent or legal guardian as long as that individual has the required consent paperwork on them.

·         Page 4 of the 2010 Book of Target, item C.4c  --  “If an event, a specific shoot at an event, or practice is for adults and minors: The minor's parent or legally authorized representative must be at the range. During such activities, marshals are not required to have a background check.”

·         All children must have the  http://www.antir.sca.org/Pubs/forms/05_Minor_Consent.pdf  and also either the US or Canadian medical consent form depending on the situation:

Addendum to the ABC’s   --  This is a single document that will cover changes in all of the marshal disciplines in between editions of the official combat manuals.  The intent is to make it easier for everyone to learn about updates to the rules, rather than trying to track these through Crier notices and mailing lists.  Their Majesties approved the first edition this weekend.  The majority of the current changes relate to adult armored combat, and some of these may have implications for the older children in the YAC program.  There is also one change to the Book of Target.  Changes for rapier and equestrian will be added in the future.  Please urge all fighters and marshals to periodically review the Addendum on the An Tir Combat Shelf: http://www.antir.sca.org/Pubs/index.php#combat.shelf .  A notice will also be put on the fighter and marshal email lists each time the document is updated.
