A few basic templates will be provided, as well as paper, some coloured construction paper, and some foam board; free-hand forms can also be created.

*Some* basic decorating items will also be provided: craft paint, glitter glue, powder glitter, some sequins, white glue, glue sticks, scissors, chopsticks; one hot glue gun will also be on hand.

Intro to (Period) Pomanders and Cloven Fruit

Some quick background and history, plus one sample of each: clove-studded orange, and spice-filled sachet. We'll be doing a hands-on creation of a ribbon-wrapped clove-studded orange. Also, for anyone who finishes that in time, grinding fragrant 'sweet' spices (with electric spice grinder, and mortar-and-pestle) to fill satin sachets, and tie with ribbon.

Oranges, cloves, and ribbon will be provided for the Pomanders; sachet bags, spices, and ribbon will also be provided, along with puncturing tools (skewers), scissors, and straight pins for anchoring ribbon.

Thank you,

Cunegonda
