[Hartwood]

The Shire of Hartwood invites the populace to gather, celebrate, and bear witness August 22nd through 24th as Prince Savaric and Princess Dalla invest their heirs, Tanist Kerrigan and ban-Tanist Lenora.

Compete for the honour of Scorer of Tir Righ, or Scourge of Tir Righ!

Fees:

NOTE: ALL YOUTH ARE FREE. The Principality has elected to join the Kingdom in their trial of the new price scheme for families. This will be different than whats published in the Crier. 

Adults: $25 ($5 discount with proof of membership)
Youth & Children (18 and under): FREE
Merchanting: An additional $5 for table space

There is no day fee available. Please make all cheques payable to 'SCA - Shire of Hartwood'.


Site Information:

Qualicum Bay Lions Club
280 Lions Way
Qualicum Bay, BC V9K 2C3

General Set up begins Friday, 3pm.
General tear down should be finished by Sunday, 5pm.
There is potable water on site.
Toilets will be a combination of flush and portables for convenience.
There will be an on-site dumpster available for garbage. 
We are expecting a total fire ban, unfortunately. We will update everyone closer to the event.
There are two shower stalls available.
There will be limited RV space available. There are electric hookups available, but there will be no grey water dumping.
Dogs are absolutely welcome, but must be on-leash and under control at all times. Owners must pick up after their dogs; bags will be available at gate.
There will be horses on site. The owners request visitors refrain from feeding the horses.
Site is discretely damp.

More information will be posted on the calendar page as it becomes available. So far, the Scorer and Largess formats are up.

Mix of Six -- Largess
The theme for Investiture is 'Toys and Games'. Competitors are invited to present one or more sets of six themed, or identical toys suitable for children, or simply the young at heart.

Directions to Site:

From Nanaimo:

Travel north along the Old Island Highway (19A), passing through Qualicum Beach. Continue north for another 15 km, then turn left onto Lions Way. (There will be a sign advertising various community groups, including the Lions Club.) Signs will be available to guide parking.

If travelling on the Inland Highway, connect to the old one by turning right onto Horn Lake Road.

From Courtenay:

Travel south along the Old Island Highway (19A), passing through Bowser. In 5.7 km turn right onto Lions Way. (There will be a sign advertising various community groups, including the Lions Club.) Signs will be available to guide parking.

If travelling on the Inland Highway, connect to the old one by turning left onto Cook Creek Road.
