If we do choose to put something on, we don't need to do two days, or even a
whole day.  we could just do noon-5pm.  I was thinking just casual teaching
of how to do the dance/game/whatever and a short blurb about its place in
history.

I can see casual teaching, but it wouldn't be TUTR because that
requires paperwork. Knowing how challenging it is to get people to
participate in a demo, we would not necessarily need the same people
both days.
