Greetings All!

First, let me please apologise to all, for being so very late with my thank
yous. I'm a terrible procrastinator.

Hartwood Yule & Bardic Championship went so well, and there is no way that
could have happened without a huge list of volunteers! It was heart-warming
and amazing to see so many people pitch in to make this event happen.
First, my event heroes:
* Cunegonda, who kept me on track, ran the kitchen, and organized Gate. She
had huge jobs, and never stopped smiling.
* James Llewellyn ap Gruffyd, my Pelican, who not only worked hard at setup,
but was my advisor in a big way, and was voice herald for me, throughout the
evening.
* John McAndrew, for liaising with the Royals, collecting, transporting,
cleaning and later delivering the tablecloths, and for signage. Seriously,
I totally forgot about signage, and I arrived onsite to find John putting up
signs.
* 'Orable 'Arold and Mischa for spending most or all of the evening in the
kitchen working.
* The entire Gonda family - Cundegonda, PapaGonda (Lord 'Arold), and
MamaGonda (brand new LADY Marguerite) for providing a turkey for all to
enjoy.
* Gwynafael for running the Bardic Championship - and thank you for your
wonderful service as Hartwood Bardic Champion over this last year!
* Anniko and Chelsea for event tokens. They were gorgeous!
* Jack, Janice & Ulf for all of the wonderful greenery and stunning
centerpieces. I got to take one home!
* Gwynafael, Aline, and Sigrun for sitting gate.
* Thank you to all of you who donated prizes to the prize boxes - Halima,
James, Freydis and more (I'm sorry I don't know who all donated). And to
Their Highnesses and to the Baron & Baroness of Seagirt for your wonderful
gifts for the event volunteers.
* Kjartan and Anton, for taking such good care of me. :)
* Thank you to this huge list of amazing, selfless people, who cheerfully
helped with setup and/or cleanup:
Diamante, Molly, Freydis, Julianna, Ceridwen, John, Kjartan, Hawise, Ulf,
Gwynafael, Alisandre, Nichola, Molly D., Ulf Haraldsen, Ulf T., James (but,
you can call him Ulf), Jack, Janice, and Jeff. It was Jeff's first event,
and he spent a goodly amount of time in the kitchen, and putting away tables
and chairs afterwards.

I also want to thank all of you who travelled from near, and very far, to
join us and make this event a success. And Their Highnesses and Retinue,
for taking time out of your busy schedule for us, and for leaving the Ready
Room absolutely spotless. Also, all who participated in our competition and
Bardic Championship - beautifully done, all of you!

I really do apologize to anyone I may have missed. Please feel free to
bring it to my attention.

Congratulations to our A&S Competition winners Freydis & Kjartan! What a
lot of work all of our participants went to, and the votes showed that ALL
of your work was appreciated!

Congratulations also, to our new Hartwood Bardic Champion Nichola! May your
tenure as Champion be a wonderful experience for you.

Yours In Most Grateful Service,
Doireann Dechti
