Please forgive me if I missed anyone, there were so very many people helping that it was difficult to get everyone down. I honestly believe that everyone there helped in one way or another.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>I would like to start by thanking two people who were vital to the running of this event… Their Ladyships Doireann and Cunegonda. What can I say that can even approach how much these two did to ensure the success of this event. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Cunegonda is organization incarnate. She had the paperwork, money and little details so well in hand, she was also able to find time to help with set up, lunch and clean up. She (and Doireann) were also up late Saturday making sure the finances were all in order. I am in awe, and very thankful we had you there. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Dori not only found the time in her busy life to organize all the teachers and classes but she also posted the copy for me when I couldn’t, fielded many questions from teachers, participants and a disorganized event steward and calmed me down when I was stressing out. At the event she organized the toasts and wrote down who did what so I wouldn’t forget anyone. Despite hurting herself helping set up, she also helped with cleanup… all the while apologizing for how little she was doing <span style='font-family:Wingdings'>J</span> I’m not sure if I should smack her for thinking she should have done more, or make her a thank you treat.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>I would know like to thank a couple of ladies who were there at the start and at the end… literally and figuratively. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>My co- steward HL Marina, went over the paperwork with me leading up the event and took care of things when I was down with that horrible flu. She took me out to tea and helped me with my what-to-do lists and event proposal. She also did the tokens, got the decorations, helped with set up and in the kitchen, ran errands, replaced the signs that were nicked, and took the same signs down when we were leaving. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Lady Symmone, our fair Seneschal, nagged me when I needed it and answered my questions when I asked her. She was one of the first people to arrive to help set up and was one of the last people to leave after clean up. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>And speaking of clean up… Someone commented that they had never seen so many people who stayed for cleanup, and I have to say that I agree. Many hands make light work and it only took a bit over an hour to get the hall back in shape after it ended. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal> In addition to those already mentioned, Ladies <span style='color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-CA'>Brenna, Aniko, Gwynafel, Fjorleif, Katrina, Anna-Jane, Sara, Halima, Ulf, Edward and ‘Arold helped with hall cleanup. This included carrying chairs from the gym to the boiler room. Lords ‘Arold, Edward and Ulf earned our heartfelt thanks by lugging those huge heavy tables around. Hazzah to you all.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-CA'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-CA'>It should also be noted that the wonderful Lords Seamus and ‘Arold were the ones who dragged the tables out there when we set everything up. Others who I haven’t already mentioned who helped with set up were Edward, Seamus, Anne, Brenna and Anna-Jane. Thank you all.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-CA'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-CA'>When my concession staff were unable to attend for personal reasons (a surprise Grandma visit), I ended up without staff to run the kitchen at lunch. A few people offered to help and in addition to those already mentioned, lady Aniko (who did a great newsletter btw) pitched right in and helped get the food to the people. It was really appreciated.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-CA'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-CA'>I would also like to thank Lord Roberto, who despite only being able to attend the potluck, put up the signs for the event. Unfortunately, they looked so great some non-SCA person decided that they wanted to play with them too and there was some confusion with directions.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-CA'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-CA'> Thank you to Lady Erin, who wasn’t there, but who let us use her table cloths and offered to wash them too. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-CA'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-CA'>I would like to also thank the wonderful people who camped in in the hall not only kept an eye on things for me, but who also managed to be very tidy. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-CA'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-CA'>And we all are thankful for the wonderful teachers who dedicated their time and travelled so far to teach us. What would we do without you?
