Boot Camp idea

I think it is a wonderful idea!

It would be super easy to make this collection an official TUTR class -
just need to come up with a credit total and decide if there will be partial
credit given to those who don't complete the entire thing. Just
something to think on from an administrative end.

As far as all the ideas of changing and altering content and times - they
are excellent suggestions but when you are doing something like this you
really do need to do what works for yourself and the students who are going to
commit to it. You also need to go with your strengths.

Not every teacher will suit every students needs.

Maybe other teachers can take this concept and run with it in their area
and tailor it to their knowledge base and student need.

I say go for it! Just decided ahead of time on the credit thing . .
.

Aug 2009 <utr@tirrigh.org>

> Hi everyone,
>
> I
have an idea that I needed to run past some level-headed
> people.
I
> want to run a boot camp in Seagirt for basic medieval costuming.
> I was
> thinking that it would be nice if some of it counted
towards TUTR
> credits. Here's the idea as it stands. The stuff on the
first Saturday
> is what I am thinking I'd like to see as
credit-bearing.
> The plan is
> that this would run over
one month, with the first part
> happening on a
> weekend and the
remaining four hours happen before our local dance
> practice/council,
if I can get the space. I have yet to look
> into the
> space, so
I may need to revise the plan. I'd be keen to hear your
> thoughts on
this...
>
> Cheers,
> Gunnr
>
> Medieval
