Hi

There was a yahoo group already set up for _UTR. We decided to go to the sca email address. If everyone wants a storage document area we can use the existing yahoo site.

Greetings, all!

I was thinking about how to have a space to discuss and get feedback
on various documents for the UTR, and I think I mentioned a
yahoogroup. Granted, it's not the best thing in the world, but I think
it will suit our purposes for now.

I created a group here:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/utr-deans/

I think I set it up so that anyone could, until I change the settings
(Sunday Aug 23), view everything, and even sign up; I waded through a
lot of setup menus, so let me know if it's not accessible. I did
remove it from the list of groups that Yahoo can search, so you have
to get the link from someone who already knows about it (or is on the
group... left menu... invite...).

My concept is that it is specifically for posting files (documents)
for discussion, for feedback, and for archiving (possibly a backup for
the tirrigh.org archives).

If you like it, say so. If not, say so and I will wipe the group (OK,
well, that's part of my thing about being ether-tidy).

Either way, I'll set the membership restrictions on Sunday August
23/09 so the group isn't open to potential spammers for too long.

If we go with using this yahoogroup, I would like to see two
moderators to ensure that members are approved who should be there,
and refused who should not. I would also like to see the occasional
deletions of off-topic discussion to improve the search functions of
the yahoogroup (anything more than a month old, I think).

(hm... Should add tirrigh.org link to the links section... maybe laws...)
