[TUTR] Medieval Clothing Boot Camp idea

I think it's a great idea.  I think starting with rectangular 
construction is a good idea as well, as it's fairly easy for less 
experienced sewers to draft up their own patterns, and it works for 
quite a time period.

A couple thoughts:

Would be better to do it in two weekends as that would make it easier 
for people outside of Seagirt (such as Hartwoodians) to attend if they 
wish?  I'm not sure if Seagirtians would find it easier to schedule one 
weekend and a bunch of evenings, or two weekends.  The disadvantage I 
see to the Tuesdays is that 6 pm may be too early for some people who 
work until 5:00 or 5:30, plus I was wondering if you might end up 
feeling rushed trying to get everyone done by 7 pm (and since 
practice/council is right after, you won't have the option of running a 
few minutes late).  An advantage of a second weekend is you could run it 
a full Saturday or even both days and while people are hand sewing, you 
can discuss other clothing (or other medieval) topics (or just socialize).

You have homework Day 1 to buy fabric (even though you do say the 
deadline is not until Day 4), but make trip to fabric stores on Day 2.  
I would think buying fabric would be better listed as homework for Day 
2.  You might want to add practicing hand sewing to Day 1 or Day 2 
homework for those who are new to it, so they're a bit faster by the 
time they need the skill.

(btw, as someone who is frequently in Seagirt but doesn't know the 
stores there - what/where are the best fabric stores?)
