I think it is worth the effort, too.
There are differences in events: Crown/Coronet will always draw more
people because of the fighting; investitures draw fewer but usually
have a lot of royalty and guild happenings; A&S championships draw
fewer yet but -very- passionate attendees. If we can compare
attendance at events on and off-island, broken down by type, from the
past 3 years, we'll be able to make a reasonable estimate of probable
attendance (and base the budget on that).
I think we should take the shot. It is almost irrelevant whether our
chances are good. If we don't try at all, we've failed. Let's -do- it!
