I thought it was an excellent event. Huge thanks to the Event Team!

Unfortunately, I am not sure if we will make it to council on Sunday as we are traveling back from Seagirt's Yule.

We're looking for things that went well and were enjoyed, and things that could be improved. Please don't worry about hurting feelings -- if we're going to improve our events and make them more appealing, we need to hear it all. :)

Thank-you to their Highnesses for gracing us with their presence, and to Master James, her Ladyship Glynis, and Her Excellency Lenora for advising me on what they may need.

Not only did she find and negotiate for the hall, handle ticket sales in Port Alberni, and act as a go-between for all the lovely volunteers over there, but she was the first one in and the last one out, by my side. From decorating to scrubbing floors, Lady Symonne was a life-saver.

Thank-you also to everyone who has donated gifts for prizes in the past; her Ladyship Elspeth's hand-crafted game board was the perfect prize in this case.

But look at this huge list of names, and know that there are people in this shire who can, and will, step up -- if only they know you need the help. On Sunday, we'll be reviewing proposals for events in 2014; most will be decided in January at our AGM. Please consider putting in a bid for an event -- if you need help with how to make a budget, let me know.
