Just a few clarifications.

You cannot have a donut shire. So any change must leave a contiguous block of land joining north and south Hartwood.

According to Kingdom Law it should read “a majority” of your officers must be from inside your borders.

The process going forward for an external border change is: the people in the affected area send a request to Hartwood council stating which areas (postal codes) wish to secede. IF council approves, a polling is done to all paid members in the affected area to ascertain their wish. If a minimum of 51% respond and a significant number of those are in favour a request is sent to the Kingdom Seneschal to make the change.

Baron James Llewellyn ap Gruffydd

to socialise and create in your area!

Getting to a point soon where we'll need volunteers to do embroidery

more) access to email, and phone accessibility.
Any questions about what the workload of the position or the requirements
are like, please contact me directly - thank you.

Chronicler: I am still looking for Chronicler to replace me.
The photographers release form is still required, however, model releases
are no longer needed in the SCA.
From the October 2012 Board Meeting:
“SCA participants including officers are no longer required to go through
the onerous and debilitating and ultimately futile process of attempting and
failing to get model releases for every captured model from the photographer
as long as it is for informational or promotional purposes and not for
commercial purposes. If the individuals or SCA is contacted by any party
wising to remove the photo or video, the SCA will comply promptly.”
Since our newsletters are not commercial but purely informational, they
qualify.
The SCA has a new social media policy. You should familiarize yourself with
it.
