Hi all! While judging one of the Courtier entrants at Lions Gate's Sergeantry trials this weekend, HL Aelena Cordovera proposed to me what sounds like an interesting idea for a session.
Aelana is planning to offer a year-long course in book-binding. It would be ten, three-hour sessions offered at the Lions Gate monthly bransle, taught to a small group. Aelana has offered this class before and each session has contained the same people, though she is happy to accept different people at different classes as well (I think it just worked out that the same half a dozen people signed up for the entire thing). She suggested that each session count as one UTR class, and I suggested that this could form a portion of a degree that specializes in bookbinding and scribal arts.
I told Aelana that I would bring up this idea with all of you (otherwise known as "y'all") and see what you think. I'd be happy to be the overseeing dean and set up all the relevant session-type information. Do you think it's a good idea?
Aine
