Hi all,
If needed, I will print tickets... probably on pre-preforated business card
stock.
Also, I'll offer one prize...let me know what you want it for so I can
ensure it is something appropriate.
Keep well,
Val/Elspeth

Very glad to hear there is lots of prep room and plug ins for the portable
ovens. Sighs of relief here. So book it. What do you think is a
reasonable fee for the feast? I am thinking in the $12 to $15 range for
adults, 4 or 5 dollars less for youth and under 12 free. But I don't know
if you have budgeted for prizes. I know there were prizes left over from
the War. Lady Sara would know where those were. susanhudema at shaw.ca
Do you have someone lined up to print the tickets? I agree that Coronet
would be a great place to sell them.

I do totally agree that a more central hall for next time would be the best.
We can book early and hopefully get something that was all booked up this
year.

Kitchen: really big, one stove and a larger than normal fridge. About 40' of
counter space plus an island that is about 12' by 6' that contains 2 double
sinks. The kitchen is in a really big room with extra floor space. Plenty of
plug-ins for those cooker things. I think there is a microwave ( can anyone
remember ?)

Cost : $ 125.

Weather affects us all.

Julie did an awesome job and it will greatly help us in the future.

I understand the need to book soon so I am ok with booking Grantham on that
score but I do need to know what the costs are. Remember not all of us are
in the area and do not know the hall well.

What exactly are the kitchen amenities? One or more stoves and what kind?
Is there a microwave and will there be fridge room? Some halls use their
fridges and leave very little room for rental users. The location is
somewhere between Campbell River and Courtenay? The majority of cooks are
in my area and need this information. I am looking at a food budget of
$350.

I do have concerns over the weather; lately the weather patterns are
becoming more extreme. Of all the events we do, White Court is the one that
should be in a central location to minimize winter travel for all. Next
year we can book somewhere that works better for that.

Thanks to Julie for discovering an impressive number of halls which will
make booking our future events much easier.

events. So, due to cost and availablty I think we have this event at
Grantham Hall.

People *like* Grantham, and are comfortable there. I know people felt it
would be a problem if we get bad weather, but anywhere we book will be a
problem in bad weather. I think you made a great call, and I'm happy with
it!
