A reminder to all, that WinterFeast in False Isle is but two (2) weeks 
away!  We are hoping that many of you will be able to join us!


      Date: November 23, 2013


      Time: 5:00 PM - 11 PM


      Location: Cranberry Community Hall - 6828 Cranberry Street, Powell
      River, BC

Cost: Adults $10 or $5 with a foodbank donation
Youth under 16 free


      Event Steward: Mistress Alicia le Wilfulle

'Tis the time of year when the winter winds howl and the days draw 
short; so come spend an evening with the Shire of False Isle and enjoy 
our warmth and friendship.

Doors open at 5:00 pm. with a potluck dinner at 6:00 pm.  The Shire will 
be providing a meat dish.

We are planning to have the feast in two removes (courses), the main 
dishes and dessert, both of which will be buffets.Please bring your 
feast gear.

Between removes there will be a competition for the best filk to a 
Christmas tune.  Please bring extra copies of your filk so all can join 
in on the singing.
Everyone is encouraged to join in to provide other entertainment (songs, 
stories, skits, riddles, etc.) both between removes and during the dessert.
Prizes will be given for the best filk as well as for the best overall 
entertainer.
After the feast there will be games, music and maybe even dance.

Attendees must make an attempt at medieval style clothing.  Some loaner 
clothing may be available.

Note: The site is discreetly damp

*Directions:*

From Vancouver BC: Take the Langdale Ferry at Horseshoe Bay, travel
highway 101 north to Powell River BC. (There are two ferries and are 
only paid for once in each direction.) Exit ferry and  travel 
approximately  32 km. to the intersection of Alberni St.  Turn right 
onto Alberni St and follow it until you reach Manson Ave. Turn left and 
follow until you reach Cranberry St. Turn right  and the Hall is on the 
right hand side.

From Vancouver Island: Take the Powell River Ferry at Little River: Exit
ferry and turn left at light onto Highway 101. Turn right onto Alberni 
St and follow it until you reach Manson Ave. Turn left and follow until 
you reach Cranberry St. Turn right  and the Hall is on the right hand side.

There will be signs posted to help with these mystical directions
