[Hartwood] Membership discussion

Membership that doesn't amount To the better part of $100 for two people
would be a good start. It's like the BC ferries complaining that revenue is
down after they hiked the fares.

For the amount that someone attends, buying a membership has to be
cost-effective. If you save money by just shelling out for the NMS, not
buying a membership is going to make more sense for people who aren't
bucking to be an officer or autocrat events.

I realize that this is set by SCA Inc., so the kingdoms/principalities
can't really change this. It just remains a big reason why people who
aren't off to events every weekend don't buy memberships.

Good afternoon everyone,

There is an interesting discussion going on (on facebook) regarding
memberships and the drive for Tir Righ to become a Kingdom.

One of the points of discussion right now is:

- what would it take to get regular participants, who are not current
members, to become members and
- what would it take to get new participants of which some might become
members.

Please put forward any thoughts on this.

thanks,
John Macandrew
